No work, no income
L. is one of the daughters in law of the joint family. They have two sons and a daughter, all of them are married and live in the same house.
They also have to take care of their aged parents. They do not have any land and their main source of meager income is through seasonal farming.

Time for school
M. comes from a poor family. She and her husband are agricultural laborers living on little income. They have a son and a daughter.
As both of them go for work and the son goes to school, the daughter stays at home without any schooling and looks after the household duties.
It was very hard for her to stay at home, but they had no other option. When they received the cow it’s brought great happiness in their home. The mother can take care of the cow with her previous experience and can raise their family income through the sale of milk and milk products. Now they can send their daughter to school. All the family members are indeed very grateful to the donors for their timely help and support.

Faith in the future

Time of need
H. and her husband take care of their mentally impaired daughter with minimum facilities.
Her husband works in the fields, but this has become a challenging task. The family income is very low and they are finding it very difficult to manage. In this desperate condition they were given a cow through Give A Cow Program which has changed their entire situation.
They felt as if it is God who sent this gift for them in their time of need. With the cow they are confident that they would improve their living conditions and provide better facilities for their children. They cannot express how happy and relieved they are and are sending their heart felt thanks to the donors for this great and generous help.

No more debt!
R works at menial jobs and has not received a salary in over three years. They have two sons and a daughter and take care of R’s brother who is hearing impaired and his 2 children, since their mother left them. They have no other source of income.
Because of this, they owe money lenders at high interest rates and have been unable to repay them. They say there is no other choice as they are compelled to provide minimum needs for the children for their survival and to continue their education. As the days passed by their situation even worsened with a burden of heavy debts and without any source of income. Their hopes have been shattered and they didn’t know what to do. At that crucial time they applied for a cow from the Give-a-Cow program. The cow changed the entire family situation. Now they are free from debts and the children are in school. What a change the cow has brought in their desperate lives!

Sorrows into smiles
B.comes from a poor family. Her husband does not earn a salary. He had a stroke and has been bedridden for the past two years and is paralyzed.
B. has sole responsibility of caring for her husband and three children. She wants to help them to complete their studies. She was so disheartened and lost courage to face her difficult circumstances without any source of income. She applied to the Give-a-Cow Program and was selected to be given a cow. It has brought her the encouragement she needed to give her a hand-up out of her situation.
She works very hard selling milk and caring for the cow. She is proud to say that her daughter finished skills training and her elder son graduated and is now working. Her younger son is studying in a Technical Training Institute. Her husband is now able to receive proper medical care and he is able to move around. With the help of the cow her sorrows have turned out to be cheerful smiles. Thanks to all the donors who thoughtfully sent this help to the needy beneficiaries here.

Growing Confidence
This is a poor, large family living with three generations living together under one roof. Her father has heart problems and needs regular medical checkups.
Their two sons are not educated due to their poor living conditions, and instead work as daily laborers in construction work. They are both married and their families along with their 3 children are living in the same house. With their low income they are finding it very difficult to provide food and meet their daily needs. They want their children to go to school but there is not enough money for that.
Having a cow is a great help and improves their living conditions. Now from selling the milk each day they can send their 3 grandchildren to school. The whole family felt so happy to receive the cow and life has been changed to joyful excitement and happiness in owning a cow. The cow has become part of their family. They are now confident of themselves with their improved living conditions. The whole family gives heartfelt thanks to all the donors for the generous provision.

New Hopes and a New Light
E. is a poor widow. Her husband died of heart attack when she was 34 years old. She has no income and cares for her three young children and her aged mother.
She was identified as a needy beneficiary to receive a cow which turned her sorrow into joy. With heartfelt gratitude she received the cow and this has brought light into her life. She no longer worries about her situation and has devoted her time and energy into rearing the cow and daily milk sales. Now she is able to continue her children’s education and meet the necessities of the family while also taking care of her aging mother. The cow has brought a new hope to E and a new light to the family. She is expressing her grateful thanks to the wonderful donors.
