Leadership Conference Team Member Visit India 2010
Life altering … that’s what the seventeen days away from home have been … seeing life through other’s eyes … God’s, the people of India, folks standing in long airport lines, and then my own again. I was to “COME AND SEE; GO AND TELL.”
The Leadership Conference days, with the theme “Empower and Equip,” were far beyond our expectations, blessed by the Lord:
In Vellore, close to 750 leaders were trained, far above the 600 expected. You should have seen the day that women leaders were there, all dressed in their beautiful and colorful sarees! Their smiles and conversations spoke of the joy they were experiencing!
> In Madanapalle, about 200 were trained. As I personally met with women, again I saw and heard the desire to serve the Lord.
The Indian followers of Jesus are VERY grateful to God for the missionaries bringing the story of salvation to them about 160 years ago. We heard many, many stories of families coming to Christ through the work and mission of the early RCA (Reformed Church in America) doctors, educators, and ministers.

Mission work today sometimes suffers from a lack of long term commitment. The Geegh Nursery School is a notable exception, representing many years of compassionate Christ centered ministry to the poor children of an other wise neglected corner of South India. Only God knows how the lives of the children this school has served over the years have been touched. But clearly they know that God loves them. This is an essential centerpiece of what this school is about.

It is through the efforts of those who are called to provide love and support for the Geegh Nursery School that generations of children will be cared for physically and spiritually. Through their programs, children are fed not only food, but they are fed spiritually through daily Bible songs and teachings. The work at the school, including their nutritional programs, medical attention, and support serves a noble purpose as together we are able to proclaim God’s word and show His love through that work. May God continue to provide for and bless the work of the Geegh Nursery School.

Jesus challenged us that whatever we do for the least of our brothers and sisters we are doing for Him. Surely the efforts of Linn Gann and those who serve with her to provide love and support for the children at the Geegh Nursery School are answering Christ’s call.
The children at Geegh are cared for as whole people – body, mind and spirit. First off they are given what we all need most – love. In addition the school meets essential needs for each child by providing:
- A balanced meal and two nutritional snacks
- Medical check-ups and attention
- ducation in English and Telegu as well as life skills training
- Daily Bible songs and teaching
The work at Geegh Nursery School is Christ’s work. Linn and the team at Geegh proclaim God’s word and show His love through that work.
May God continue to provide for and bless the work of the Geegh Nursery School.
